General Packet has been engineering, installing, and managing localized Ethernet networks since 2006.  We understand technology and accomplish projects in a timely way. We get hired to engineer and deploy networks using our labor and equipment, or yours.

Management

Dennis diBattista is President and owner of General Packet and is a veteran of the broadband-on demand and competitive local exchange carrier industries. In previous positions diBattista was President of QGO, LLC a provider of broadband-on-demand services responsible for helping Panera Bread launch its amenity Wi-Fi network. Later, he was Vice President of Sales at ICOA. Previously, he founded and ran a company that was a provider of contract installation service to the telecommunications industry.  Early in his career diBattista was General Manager of Brooks Fiber Properties’ Rhode Island office, and then Vice President of Operations for Telergy.  In those positions diBattista oversaw the installation of more than $40 million in fiber optic plant, transmission and switching equipment and over 350 miles of underground and aerial network construction. diBattista holds a B.A. from Boston University, an M. A. from the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.B.A. from the University Rhode Island

Thomas Cannon is Chief Technical Officer and owner of General Packet. Cannon brings decades of technology development and management experience to the General Packet Team. With a track record of success, Cannon previously held various engineering and management positions at GTECH Corporation, providing the systems and software to support lottery operations worldwide. He successfully launched several new product platforms for customers worldwide and has extensive international experience. After GTECH Cannon maintained a private technology consulting business where he performed hardware and software development, as well as management services for, TDK Electronics, GTECH, Schlumberger, Toppan, ICOA and others. Cannon holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island and is based in Los Angeles, California.
